Hunger-Crushing Breakfast Bowl

Breakfast is objectively the most important meal of the day, and everybody should at least be trying to eat something in the morning to keep them properly functioning. Everybody is different and does not require the same foods, but to start off your morning with the perfect balance between protein, carbs, and healthy fats will almost guarantee a successful, productive, and efficient day.


I've recently been trying to add more healthy fats into my diet because they're so important and to be honest, I've been kind of neglecting them in my diet. I was letting most of my fats come from cheese, salmon, meat, and not incorporating avocado, egg yolks, healthy oils, and other good fat sources into my diet. So, now, I've started eating 1 egg with my egg whites in the morning and decided to add almost a half an avocado to my plate and this kept me full and happy throughout the day.


When it comes to plating, make sure you have at least one food from every macronutrient group. In this bowl, I have 3 slices of toast with sugar-free strawberry preserves for my carbs, turkey bacon and eggs/egg whites for my protein, and 50 grams avocado for my healthy fats. If you prioritize macronutrient timing, then you can adjust the amounts of each macronutrient you add to your meals. But I try to start my day with a lot of protein to keep me energized!


Breakfast sets the tone for the day, and what better way to set the tone than through a delicious and filling breakfast bowl that hits all macronutrient groups and keeps you from searching for snacks and empty, low-satiety foods all day. Please try this, you will not be disappointed!





MACROS:

CALORIES: 538 calories

PROTEIN: 44.1

CARBOHYDRATES: 41.9 grams

FAT: 22.8 grams


INGREDIENTS:

- 1 egg

- 155 grams liquid egg whites

- 2 slices turkey bacon (I used a lower sodium option)

- 3 slices aldi fit and active toast (or whatever light toast of your choice)

- 50 grams sliced avocado

- 17 grams sugar-free strawberry preserves


The perfect concept with a bowl like this is being able to swap for ingredients of your choice, such as chicken sausage or different types of light toast. All that matters is that you're nourishing your body and giving it what it needs to have a great day!
