Everything that you can get at a fast food restaurant can 100% be replicated at home for fewer calories, better ingredients, and with a lower budget.
Besides steak and parmigiano cheese, my favorite "cheat" meal would have to be a fat juicy American cheeseburger with all the fixings. When I was in middle school, I made it my mission to order a cheeseburger at every restaurant so I could compare and contrast the different flavors. It was truly an obsession.
When I started to watch my caloric intake and embarked on my fitness journey, I still wanted that burger taste without all of the added calories and low-quality ingredients. Burger bowls like the ones below, thankfully, did the trick and cured that hankering for a classic American burger taste.
Prep time took a max of about 30 minutes, and allowed us to refuel and feast after a nice long upper body session at the gym. Packed with healthy fats from the ground beef and cheese, carbs from the veggies and the potatoes, and protein also from the ground beef and cheese, this meal was PERFECT and a great meal prep idea for the week. Andiamo!

MACROS:
for one serving (recipe/ingredients makes 2 servings)
CALORIES: 660 calories

CARBOHYDRATES: 41 grams
FAT: 28 grams
INGREDIENTS:
for 2 servings
16 ounces 93% lean grassfed, grass finihed ground beef, weighed raw
2 small to medium russet potatoes
About 70 grams freshly grated aged cheddar cheese
1 white onion, diced raw
4 cups finely shredded lettuce
1 large ripe vine tomato, diced
Seasonings for homemade french fries: I used salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, etc

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash your potatoes thoroughly and dry. After rinsing, slice your potatoes into french-fry slices. Place in a bowl with salt and paper bowls to absorb the excess moisture and let sit for about 20 minutes.
After about 20 minutes, dry your potatoes on more time before adding a touch of spray avocado oil and seasonings of choice.
Air fry your "french fries" for about 25-30 minutes at 400 degrees, mixing them in the air fryer about halfway through and making sure they're cooking evenly.
In a pan over medium-high heat, cook your ground beef as you normally would. To give it that "burger" taste, I like to add salt, pepper, garlic, onion/onion powder, a dash of worcestershire sauce, and a dash of ground mustard. Cook fully through and let rest.
Now, time to assemble. At the bottom of your bowl, add your shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and your diced white onions. Then, add your french fries and your ground beef. I also added a 1/4 cup of roasted brussel sprouts.
Optional here is a homemade special burger sauce, but we decided to forego it. Instead, we added shredded aged cheddar cheese and pickles, and some primal kitchen sugar-free ketchup and yellow mustard for dipping. And voila! You're all set! Buon Appetito!
