Sometimes, a nice warm dessert is exactly what the doctor ordered. Even though I usually have a nice cold yogurt bowl at the end of the night, there are times where I want my fiber-filled fruit toppings without feeling super cold afterwards.

Sooooo, a berry compote is the answer to that question. Easy and simple, and a good topping for any protein pancake, toast, or yogurt bowl, this berry compote is perfect, especially as the fall and winter slowly approach us.

All it takes is to add all of the ingredients to a small sauce pan over medium heat and let bubble and well-combine together, and voila!

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup frozen organic mixed berry blend

  2. 1 teaspoon organic ceylon cinnamon

  3. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  4. 5-10 grams raw unfiltered honey

  5. Sprinkle of flaky maldon sea salt
