Burrito bowls don't truly require recipes, so if you're looking for instructions, I am sorry to disappoint...

But I made the best double protein burrito bowl last night and desperately wanted to share this beauty with the masses.

The art of burrito bowls and nourish bowls in general are their versatility and ability to be high-protein, high-volume, and extremely nutritious. Choose a protein of your choice, a carb of choice, and plenty of healthy fats and toppings, and you have yourself an incredibly filling meal.

For this specific bowl, I used the following:

  1. 5.3 ounces (measured cooked) of leftover NY strip steak (cooked medium rare) that I let thaw before slicing.

  2. About 7 ounces (measured raw) of organic Bell and Evans chicken breast, cubed and marinated with fresh lime juice, salt, and Siete taco seasoning.

  3. 100 grams of plain cauliflower rice, cooked with some more Siete taco seasoning.

  4. Sauteed bell peppers and onions.

  5. Diced tomatoes.

  6. 80 grams of Fage nonfat plain greek yogurt (as a sour cream substitute).

  7. 40 grams of aged white cheddar, grated atop (and also a nice big chunk in the middle).
