Who doesn't love ice cream?
Now that it's getting warmer out, I wanted to create a lower-calorie recipe for my favorite summer treats. OF COURSE, nothing beats the real thing, but when you have goals to reach, you need to find tasty alternatives.
Just looking at this picture, the "nice" cream has the same texture, consistency, and a delicious taste, just like regular ice cream. It is a little higher in carbs, but I needed some extra carbs at the end of my day so it worked for me.

MACROS:
CALORIES: 357 calories
PROTEIN: 11.7 grams
CARBOHYDRATES: 60.9 grams
FAT: 12.6 grams
INGREDIENTS:
- 200 grams frozen banana
- 10 grams cocoa powder
- 25 grams nonfat plain greek yogurt
- 17 grams all natural peanut butter
- 9 grams sugar free dark chocolate chips
- sweeteners of choice: I used stevia, sf pancake syrup, and cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
In a blender, blend all of your ingredients with about 1/4 cup of water, and blend until a frosty-like consistency. I would add your liquid gradually so it doesn't become too liquidy too fast, and you can control the thickness of the ice cream.
Freeze overnight for best results and let defrost for about 10 minutes prior to eating so it's easier to serve!
