I don't know about anyone else, but I have been dying to try all of those nashville hot chicken tenders and sandwiches that are all over TikTok and Instagram. The chicken looks so crispy and seasoned and juicy, and the crispy fries and special sauces on the side are an added bonus. Why not try to replicate those foods and make them high protein and a lot easier to cook?
This recipe felt like I was eating something from a fast food restaurant, and it was super easy. Having an air fryer in college is a lifesaver and saves so much time, especially when you want to make something when you're in a time crunch. The chicken tenders themselves took 10 minutes and they held up just like a fast food chicken tender. I recommend for this recipe using chicken tenderloins instead of just breasts because they cook a lot faster and they have that smaller shape.

INGREDIENTS:
- 4.67 ounces chicken tenderloins, weighed raw
- 200 grams russet potato, weighed raw
- 2 tablespoons fat free sour cream
- nashville hot seasoning, or seasonings of choice
- 6 grams olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
Rinse your russet potato thoroughly and pat dry.
Slice into thin french fry shaped pieces and pat extra dry with paper towels to make sure they get extra crispy when cooking later. Season to your liking with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Line a baking tray with foil or use a foil pan and place your potato slices/french fries equally and bake at 400 degrees for about 35-40 minutes, or until desired crispiness.
Preheat your air fryer at 400 for 3 minutes.
Wash and clean your chicken tenderloins and pat dry. Season with nashville hot seasoning, salt, and pepper and any additional seasonings and set aside.
On a foil lined tray, air fry your chicken tenders at 400 for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
This part is optional, but you can make a special sauce with 2 tablespoons fat free sour cream, dash of nashville hot seasoning, and hot sauce of choice.
Once your chicken tenders are fully cooked, plate with your french fries and special hot sauce and enjoy!
