I had never tried BBQ sauce with fish before, and thought the concept to be slightly eccentric, but this dinner was by far one of the best I've had in a while.
Unique, flavorful, light, and packed with protein, these asian bbq cod bowls that my boyfriend and I made did not disappoint. But I would be remiss to not mention that stars of the show: Natural Heaven's heart of palm rice packets, a great lower carb alternative, and DM BBQ's Asian BBQ Sauce, full of flavor and high-quality ingredients.
If you're looking to switch up your next meal, definitely choose this one. It took less than 20 minutes to prepare and even less to eat :) Andiamo!

PROTEIN: 77 grams

FAT: 4 grams
INGREDIENTS:
12 ounce wild caught cod filet
3 tablespoons asian-style bbq sauce of choice (my favorite is from DM BBQ!)
1/2 packet Asian-style heart of palm rice (from Natural Heaven!)
2 cups steamed organic broccoli florets
Seasonings of choice: I used salt, pepper, garlic, red pepper flakes, and some onion powder.
DIRECTIONS:
Take your cod filets, thoroughly rinse them, and pat dry. Let sit for about 10 minutes to dry while preparing your other foods.
Once your fish is ready to be prepared, add to a large mixing bowl with salt, pepper, about 2 tablespoons of DM BBQ Asian BBQ sauce, red pepper flakes, and garlic and onion to taste. Mix and well-incorporate so that your barbecue sauce is coated all over the fish.
Air fry your fish at 400 degrees for about 12-14 minutes, rotating halfway.
In a small sauce pan, add your Natural Heaven Asian-Style Heart of Palm Rice Packet and heat over medium-low heat. Add a dash of water, and, optionally, a dash of coconut aminos, and cook until fully heated through.
For your broccoli: boil water in a large saucepan. When the water comes to a rolling boil, add your broccoli for about 5 minutes and then drain water. Leave plain and season according to your liking.
Now it's time to serve! After letting your fish rest, plate it alongside your Natural Heaven heart of palm rice and broccoli. Serve with some extra Asian BBQ Sauce from DM BBQ for your broccoli, and voila! Buon Appetito!
