This has been a staple recipe in our family for years and its easy to see why. These are the perfect summer and fall recipe that make that "boring" package of ground turkey in your fridge a lot more enticing.
I served mine with some spicy cauliflower rice, kimchi, sliced avocado, and a simple side salad. However, these are best enjoyed on a bun with avocado mayo, sliced avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and even a slice of cheese! Want the recipe? Andiamo!

INGREDIENTS:
*this recipe yields six medium-to-large burgers
2.5 pounds organic 93% lean ground turkey
1 large honey crisp apple, peeled
1 whole egg
1/2 cup homemade breadcrumbs (or breadcrumbs of choice)
2 small garlic cloves, minced
1 small shallot, minced
Seasonings of choice: I used salt, pepper, a dash of paprika, ground thyme, and some parsley
Sides, toppings, buns of choice
DIRECTIONS:
Wash and peel a large honey crisp apple. Grate with a cheese grater into small, thin pieces that will mix well into the turkey mixture.
In a large mixing bowl, add your ground turkey, shredded apple, breadcrumbs, 1 egg, garlic, shallot, and seasonings of choice. Mix until well combined.
With lightly wet hands, start forming your patties. I like to weigh mine and make them about 5-6 ounces each. Set aside on parchment paper until time to cook.
Either barbecue these burgers, or air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway and taking the internal temperature (should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit) to make sure its fully cooked.
Serve with your favorite bun, sides, salads, and toppings. Buon Appetito!
